EDITING JOURNEY

7th of January 2017 - 10th of February 2017

After filiming all the footage, for our opeing two minutes, we started editing using the softwear Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Movie Maker. Both of the softwear we used were really easy and efficient.

CHANGE MADE TO THE FILM

During, editing and filming we made changes to parts of the film these include camera angles and shots and materials we used for filming.  

Before filming, we had exact ideas of camera shots and angles. However, once we actually started filming we shot multiple compositions of the same footage. We did this to make sure when it came to editing we would avoid jump cuts and other camera errors. 

This also meant changing up the shot/angle list ,to make our opening two minutes flow seamlessly and continuously.       

   

Furthermore, to make the filming process easier we decided to change the app we were using for the text message scene. Our Original plan was to use Facebook messenger, however due to some complication we decided to use iMessage.  After filming we realised using iMessage was impactful and effective. This is because it made the scene personal and intimate.

FILMING SCHEDULE

Saturday 4th of February 

Although, we filmed all the footage needed for our movie on the 6^th of January.   

Due to some editing difficulties, we had to re-film our end scene.It was important to capture the right footage for our cliffhanger, in order to make our opening two-minute effective.

 

5 PM 

Arrived at the location of the house

5:30 PM
We spent 30 minutes doing the special effect make-up on our antagonist's hand

6:00 PM

Set up film equipment tripod and camera

6:30 PM

Began filming the footage for our kitchen scene, vital in order to complete our opening two minutes

7:00 PM
re-filmed a few scenes

7:30 PM
Successfully completed filming
